His project rests on a strong liberal conviction: it is by freeing private initiative and decentralising power that France will recover its effectiveness. Transfer more powers and financial responsibilities to local officials to make public action more effective and closer to citizens. Rely on the experience of local areas rather than on orders from Paris.
Spending cuts & economic freedom
Drastically reduce public spending and simplify rules to free private initiative and boost growth. Make the state more agile and less costly, drawing on the best practices of municipal management.
Authority & integration
Defend firm state authority on security and public order. Link migration issues with integration requirements, making rights conditional on obligations being met.
Work, freedom & responsibility
Defend the value of work and individual freedom against systemic welfare dependency. Make every citizen responsible for their own life, reducing dependence on the state and rewarding effort and initiative.
